Frequently Asked Questions

Lacuna® window films greatly reduce the possibility of injury by keeping the broken glass together in the event of an accident.

We recommend that you leave your vehicle's windows closed for at least 3 to 5 days after the window film is installed. This allows the film to harden and adhere to the glass before the glass is moved.

The sun that illuminates the interior of your car can be harmful to fabrics, leather, dashboard and other interior surfaces. Ultraviolet rays are the main cause of both fading and deterioration. Lacuna® window films can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays that can fade surfaces.

Lacuna® paint protection film protects the paint from damage and the film itself remains virtually invisible.

Paint Protection Film works great on vehicles, caravans, boats, jet skis, utility vehicles, tractors, motorcycles and bikes.

Paint Protection Film works on a full range of vehicle surfaces including the hood, bumpers, fenders, side view mirrors, grills, rocker panels, rear quarter panels, truck bed rails, door frame edges and thresholds, wiper blade landing areas, door handles and looks, roof areas, under utility racks, and around wheel wells.

When the weather is warm, window film can reduce air conditioning costs and save on lighting costs by reducing solar heat gain, while still letting in natural light. When it’s cold outside, window film can retain interior heat, saving on heating costs.

In most cases if a house plant is already receiving adequate light, the use of window film will not harm it. New growth or flowering may be impacted, as the plant may take a few days to adjust to the light change.

Window film can significantly reduce the amount of fading for interior furnishings by protecting the flooring, artwork, drapes, and furniture that experience damaging sunlight from nearby windows.

When it comes to safety & security window film you can choose from a clear security film, a silver security film and a charcoal security film. With the optically clear window film you won’t even know it’s there. The silver security window film will look like a one way mirror and the charcoal window film will have a tint to it.

Safety & Security films are comprised of thicker polyester and stronger, more assertive adhesives. They hold shattered glass in place to offer protection from burglary and vandalism attempts, wind-borne debris, natural disasters and bomb blasts.

Safety & Security window film will not stop someone from breaking in, but it will slow them down allowing time for first responders to arrive. The purpose of safety & security film is to help keep glass in tact in case someone or something tries to hit it. This will prevent shards of glass from flying everywhere, increasing safety. Security window film will strengthen glass by 2-3 times which will prolong the amount of time it takes for something to get through the glass.
